Graphcore, a pioneering British semiconductor company, has taken a significant leap in AI technology with the introduction of its novel Wafer-on-Wafer (WoW) processor and ambitious plans to develop an “ultra-intelligence AI supercomputer”. This groundbreaking leap is highlighted by the unveiling of the Bow IPU, marking the world’s first processor utilizing TSMC’s advanced Wafer-on-Wafer technology.

Graphcore’s collaboration with TSMC has been instrumental in this advancement. "TSMC has worked closely with Graphcore as a leading customer for our breakthrough SoIC-WoW solution,” stated Paul de Bot, GM of TSMC Europe, acknowledging the synergy between their Parallel processing architectures and WoW technology.

WoW technology elegantly fuses two wafers to produce a next-generation 3D die. The first wafer focuses on AI processing, seamlessly integrating with the GC200 IPU architecture, boasting 1,472 independent IPU-Core tiles capable of running over 8,800 threads, and includes 900MB of in-processor memory. The second one serves as a power delivery die, featuring deep trench capacitors that significantly boost performance by sitting adjacent to processing cores and memory.

Introducing the Bow IPU has doubled the capabilities of its predecessors, delivering up to 40 percent more performance and 16 percent improved power efficiency in real-world AI applications. Graphcore’s high-performance Bow Pod platform achieves over 89 petaFLOPS of AI computational power, with the capability to reach a staggering 350 petaFLOPS.

Ultra-intelligence AI Supercomputer

Graphcore’s bold vision extends to the creation of an ultra-intelligence AI supercomputer, aiming to transcend the parametric capability of the human brain, which boasts approximately 100 billion neurons and over 100 trillion parameters. This computer, aptly named the ‘Good’ computer, commemorates Jack Good, the first to envisage a machine surpassing human intellect in his 1965 paper on the first ultra-intelligent machine.

Graphcore plans to achieve this by 2024, with the Good computer featuring over 10 exaFLOPS of AI floating point compute, up to four petabytes of memory with a bandwidth exceeding 10 petabytes/second, and support for AI model sizes up to 500 trillion parameters. Utilizing a 3D wafer-on-wafer logic stack, all fully supported by Graphcore’s Poplar® SDK, the anticipated cost configuration is about $120 million.

The anticipation for further updates on the Good computer remains high as Graphcore promises more news in the coming year.

The Future of AI in Video Content Creation

In today’s digital world, video is everywhere. Whether you're a content creator, marketer, or just someone who enjoys visual storytelling, good video content helps you stand out. But making videos the traditional way takes a lot of time, effort, and skill.

That’s where AI video generators come in.

Platforms like Dreamlux are changing how videos are made. With just an image or a short prompt, you can create full videos in minutes—complete with effects, voiceovers, and smooth transitions. It’s fast, easy, and perfect for anyone who wants to create without needing professional tools or training.

And AI doesn’t stop there—it also lets you explore new emotions and reactions through your content.

Bring Surprise to Life with the AI Shocked Face Effect

One fun and expressive tool is the AI Shocked Face Effect. This feature takes a normal photo and turns it into a short video where the person’s expression slowly changes to pure shock—wide eyes, raised brows, and a jaw-dropping reaction.

It’s great for comedy clips, reaction videos, memes, or storytelling moments where surprise plays a key role. You can turn a simple picture into a powerful emotional moment, all with the help of AI.
